Poker Tournament
Your $100 player ticket gets you entry into the Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament with a bank of $2000 in playing chips. The play for this tournament is turbo tournament style with blinds being raised quickly. All players will be allowed 1 add-on and 1 buy-back at $50 each until the last hour.
Cash prizes go to the top three winners:
1st Place: $1,000
2nd Place: $250
3rd Place: $100

About Handspun Hope
Handspun Hope is a fair-trade-certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on impacting the lives of women and their families in northern Rwanda. This is accomplished by employing and empowering at-risk women, all of whom survived some level of trauma during the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994. The women are employed by handcrafting organic yarn and finished knit garments created from the fleeces of their own flocks of Merino sheep and Angora rabbits.
The Handspun Hope mission succeeds through generous donations and the successful management of an online store, Hope Artisan Collective, which showcases the products created by the women, as well as other artisans throughout Africa.
With your help, Handspun Hope provides above-fair wage salaries, healthcare, and group and individual trauma counseling for every woman employed. Handspun Hope also contributes toward school-related fees for every child in the care of our employees. All proceeds from this event will go directly to Handspun Hope.
